The History/Social Studies Department at MacArthur collaborates so that students in each grade receive a well-rounded curriculum that meets the standards. Portfolios are incorporated and compiled for each unit of instruction beginning at 6th grade. Special activities, focusing on areas of the curriculum, are highlights at each grade. Check out the 7th Grade History Faire, for one such 'activity.' In 8th grade, students participate in a 'Model Congress.' There's always something going on in the history classes!
